Plans in for new landmark office building
Plans have been lodged for a new landmark office development of more than 300,000 sq ft on a site in Leeds city centre.McLaren Property, supported by WYG and Carey Jones Chapman Tolcher, has submitted an application to Leeds City Council for a site on Wellington Street.Full planning permission is sought for the demolition of the three existing office buildings on the site and construction of a new 17-storey development.The proposed building would provide a total of 330,000 sq ft of space, primarily for offices, together with flexible supporting uses.The development would predominantly comprise office space rogether with four ground-floor commercial units. Two basement car parks containing up to 117 parking spaces would also be provided.The new development would be located adjacent to the West One office building and opposite the Crown Plaza hotel.The project team also includes Avison Young, Hoare Lea, Meinhardt, Gardiner & Theobald, ORSA, Gillespies, FD Global and Fore Consulting.
